The wire for panel production is delivered from the steelworks in rolls. The roll of wire is placed in a special machine – a straightener – which straightens and cuts the wire to the required dimensions. This is a crucial preliminary stage of production, as any irregularities will impact the quality of the final product.
The wire, cut to the appropriate dimensions, is transferred to the welding machine, where the actual production of the panel takes place. The vertical and horizontal wires are aligned, followed by a series of spot welds at the wire intersections. The welded panel is then transported to a press, which applies a stiffening embossment, and then stacked on pallets, ready for further production. In the case of flat panels, stacking on pallets occurs immediately after welding.
Depending on their intended use, panels are manufactured from black wire (without protective coating) or galvanized wire. The black wire panels are sent to a galvanizing plant, where anti-corrosion protection (zinc coating on a steel core) is applied using the immersion method according to the PN-EN ISO 1461 standard. For panels made of galvanized wire, they are placed in a modern painting line, which involves several stages before the actual powder coating. The panels are washed, dried, and then passivated. ((creating a nanocoating that increases paint adhesion and provides additional anti-corrosion protection) and drying again. In the next phase, the panels are electrostatically coated with polyester, which is then baked at a high temperature, ensuring high durability and hardness of the coating.
The finished panels are finally stacked on pallets (usually 50 pieces), appropriately strapped, and secured with boards. Our company boasts one of the best panel packaging technologies, eliminating mechanical damage to the wire and paintwork. This method allows for high pallet stacking for storage and transport without damaging the product.
